Lunch @ the Wineries

My mom and I decided to grab lunch on a leisurely Sunday afternoon. After we opted out of choosing the usual local sandwich shop, we decided to take the 45 minute drive to the Temecula Wine country. We chose to eat lunch at Ponte. We were able to catch a glimpse of the beautiful wedding going on during this hour as well. The weather was absolutely perfect. Although the food feel below our expectations, we still enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere. We drove to three other wineries where my mom was able to wine taste. Our choice was well worth the drive and will present the idea of lunch at the wineries more frequently from now on!

La Jolla Love

I'm in love! Over the weekend I went with my parents to San Diego for the day. We started the day off by enjoying lunch up the street from this BEAUTIFUL coast in La Jolla. Walking along the streets of high end shops, cute boutiques and immaculate homes, I fell in love with the gorgeous La Jolla lifestyle.

After our quick lunch we were off to UCSD where my parents had tickets to see a play at the UCSD playhouse. While they enjoyed a 2 1/2 hour play, I enjoyed the seldom shopping spree down the street at the Westfield mall. I was super stoked to get the chance to shop here because it is one I have never been to! Well, I fell in love again. Spending a little more then I should have a had bags from Sephora, Nordstrom, Icing, and Bare Minerals. Let's just say I was a happy girl!

Around 5pm I had to drive 5 minutes up the street to pick up my parents. We then drove back to La Jolla. Just couldn't get enough of the stunning coast line! We dined at a trendy rooftop restaurant by the name "George's." I so wish I took photos of this finely decorated outdoor patio. The lime green and silver were a match perfect for a trendy dinner experience.

My favorite part of this day comes with a sunset dipping in the crashing waves along a shoreline accompanied by sea lions. A unique part of La Jolla is their long curving bridge that goes about 400 yards in the ocean, so you feel apart of natures blue waters!

Summer Reading

To be honest, I am not much of a reader at all! I enjoy simple articles in teen vogue and the random newspaper columns that lure me in with their photographs. Not only do I adore Lauren Conrad's style and television show, The Hills, I am recently adoring her new book.
I was a bit shocked to find out Conrad had written a book. I celebrated though because I knew she wouldn't let me down. Instantly I fell in love with the easy read that not only entertained but gave a glimpse of the reality star lifestyle. My summer afternoons of tanning were now being accompanied by a great read.
A little disappointed with its ending; I can only hope for sequel. So I am crossing my fingers for another Lauren Conrad project since her show is going to be absent of her presence in the fall. Hope everybody can find time to read this book and enjoy its page turning power!

Little Black Jacket

I have been looking for the perfect leather jacket all summer so that in the fall and winter I would be ready to go with an adorable coat. Forever 21, Nordstrom and most other stores carry black leather jackets. Forever 21 did have a lovely leather jacket, but the price was a tad beyond what I wanted to pay. When browsing at Marshall's I came across this jacket. I fell in love and quickly slipped on the black leather. The price was what sold me, $29.99! Every girl is told to have the perfect "little black dress." Forget the dress, fall 2009 is requiring that perfect "little black jacket," and I am stoked to have found mine! xoxo saragirl

SmellyGirl

I wanted to share with everyone some fabulous scents! It would be quite fun if you all could actually take a whiff of these yummy perfumes; but since you can't I will share with you the smell and properties of each one.
Juicy yet crisp, Ed Hardy Women is an intriguing perfume that is worthy as an everyday scent. Because it is not overpowering I wear Ed Hardy Women during the day when shopping, hanging out with the girls or just relaxing.
Betsey Johnson perfume not only comes in an elaborate bottle but the scent stays on all day. I prefer to wear Betsey Johnson when going out at night. The scent is heavier and spicier per se but very girly and sexy.
Dolly Girl by Anna Sui is an adorable scent! I'm not sure if adorable can describe a smell but Dolly Girl is exactly that. Dolly Girl is a "date scent" as I like to call it. The scent is light yet nose catching and will get that boy to take a double whiff!
Escada has a new scent once a year. The scents are always fruity and fun. This year Escada has Ocean Lounge out. Ocean Lounge has a slight resemblance to fruit punch. I think this perfume is one to wear to the beach or other outdoor activities. Walking in a room with this tang will certainly turn heads.
Perfume is so much fun, different smells, different bottles and perfect decorations when on display. Hope you enjoyed reading

Leo's Home!

I have this adorable cat named Leo! Leo not yet one but acts like a "teenager." Leo is orange and super friendly. He likes to roam our neighborhood and is usually safe to do so as long we call him in at night (we have coyotes). Friday night, I called Leo in and he was NO WHERE to be found! Really bummed and confused I went to bed wondering if I would see him in the morning.
Morning came and still NO LEO! This morning, I was certain Leo was gone, still hoping he had gotten picked up by another family and not a coyote!
Well tonight I got a phone call from my dad while out at Coldstone with a friend. My dad was down the street at my Uncle's house, a good 4 streets over from where we live. Leo had wondered into my Uncle's garage while my dad and Uncle were out front.
What a curious little cat! I'm so mad at him but also very pleased in how smart he was in his decision making.
Well as soon as I got home I cuddled him to death and am now going to show you all a picture of my very cute and friendly kitty! .... Oh and in this picture; the little guy was trying to get away, but I really wanted a picture with my baby, so we managed to get this one shot!

A little about me

I am an All-American Girl born and raised in California. I'm 18 years old and just beginning my college years in the fall. I can't wait to begin studying Communications/Public Relations. For now though, I am enjoying summer and working to earn extra shopping money!
To get to know me even better, I want to share with everyone some things I love. Some having to do with me living in California, others just having to do with being a girl! Well, I absolutley adore fashion, fashion magazines and all design aspects in life. Decorating, redecorating and redecorating my room again is one of my favorite things to do. Right now I'm actually looking into a little room revamp before summer's over. Going on day trips with my mom is also a favorite. We recently went to Malibu and I fell in love with the whole city; beach, shopping, food and all. L.A. is also a favorite of mine and I'm looking into weekend-tripping to San Fran within the next few weeks. Photography is something I've picked up after my mom got a Nikon camera for Christmas. Besides all this girly stuff, active stuff is also a fav. My best friend and I hiked Half-Dome in Yosemite last weekend. Running and hitting the gym are awesome as well. Some of the basics, I love Taylor Swift, Teen Vogue magazine, and eating sweets!
Learning to blog is certainly going to be a trip. I can't wait to share pictures and blogs with everyone though. Enjoy!
